Hose Material Performance
At Silmart, we offer a variety of reinforced silicone hose types tailored for specific temperatures, pressures, and applications. Below is an overview of the materials we use and their ideal use cases.
Polyester-Reinforced Silicone Hoses
Our most common and versatile hose type.
✅ Operating temperature: –58°F to +338°F, max +356°F
❌ Not suitable for full-time contact with oil or fuel.
Best used for:
- Coolant lines
- Water transfer
- Air intake systems
- Vacuum applications
- Light oil mist environments

Nomex-Reinforced Silicone Hoses (Made to order)
Nomex® (aramid) reinforced hoses are built for high heat and pressure. Ideal for performance and turbo/boost applications.
✅ Operating temperature: –58°F to +428°F, max +464°F
❌ Not suitable for full-time oil exposure.
Ideal for:
- Turbo boost systems
- High-temperature coolant circuits
- Pressurized air systems
- Extreme heat zones
- Light oil mist conditions

Oil & Fuel-Resistant Hoses (Made to order)
Specialized hoses designed for exposure to oil vapors and fuel.
✅ Operating temperature: –58°F to +338°F (–50°C to +170°C)
❌ Not recommended for high-octane fuels or high-pressure fuel systems.
Best used for:
- Oil mist environments (ASTM 1 and 3)
- Low-pressure fuel fill lines
- Air and coolant lines with oil contact
